Adam Clammer and James H. Greene, Jr., who together built KKR’s Global Technology Group, wanted to create a new kind of private equity firm – one that brings the deep experience and extensive network of a global firm to the middle market.
They called it True Wind – a nod to the value of a reliable constant in a turbulent world.
True Wind takes an intensely hands-on approach. We have deep experience using a variety of transaction structures, including take-privates, carve outs, buyouts, concurrent mergers, PIPES, and sponsor-led IPOs, to invest in technology businesses and partner with management teams to enhance profitability and ROI. We bring to bear all the relationships our team has nurtured through decades of investing.
