WORK EXPERIENCE
Tom joined True Wind Capital in 2021. In his role as Director, Tom sources and executes new transactions, with a focus on financial technology and technology enabled services. He sits on the board of Sterling Capital Brokers and Open Lending, and works closely with portfolio company management teams to devise strategies to translate a company’s vision into action.
Tom has 15 years of experience in investing and financial services. Prior to joining True Wind, he was an investor at Boston-based hedge fund Berylson Capital Partners, where he led investments in public equities and oversaw the firm’s private growth equity investments. Previously, Tom executed leveraged buyout transactions in the technology and business services sectors with Advent International. Tom began his career as an investment banker at Credit Suisse in the Media & Telecom group.
EDUCATION
Tom holds a B.A. in Economics from Harvard College, where he graduated Cum Laude, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, where he graduated with distinction.
Personal Life
In his personal life, Tom tries to keep up with his two young sons and has a master plan to teach them to love golf as an excuse to recover his own woefully neglected golf swing.
